Butch Goncharoff - Head Coach

Head Coach
Butch was named Coach of the Year by the AP in 2001, and is now in his 15th season at BHS, and 10th as the head coach.

He was awarded the 2004 Riddell National Coach of the Year and the 2003 Seahawks NFL High School Coach of the Year. He has coached 7 All State running backs and 4 of 5 leaders in KingCo single season rushing.

Prior to BHS he coached in the Junior Wolverine Program for 12 seasons,with a record of 104 wins, 4 losses, 1 tie and 7 league titles.

He has coached 4 members of his staff up through the junior football ranks: Joe Razore, Wes Warren, Thad Mallory, and Jeff Razore.

Butch enjoys traveling, exercise, reading, workouts with
the players and spending time with his wife and new daughter
Kendall.

Pat Jones - Assistant Head Coach

Assistant Head Coach
A 1982 BHS graduate, Pat will be coaching the offensive line and is the assistant head coach.

This is Pat's 21st year at BHS and his 28th year coaching. Pat wears many hats in the business community and juggles business with raising 6 children with his wife of 20 years, Marianne. His children, Jordan, Dakota, Dallas,
Montana, Brooklyn and Lil P support their dad coaching and
are proud of his commitment to "the Boys".

Pat enjoys coaching his son and his daughters in basketball, softball and t-ball. He also enjoyed many years coaching his
son in Jr. Football, while coaching at BHS as well.

Wes Warren - Defensive Coordinator

Defensive Coordinator
A BHS Alum, Wes will serve as the defensive coordinator. He
was an All KingCo linebacker for the Wolverines in 1997, receiving the Buddy Waldron Award and the Mr. Defense Award.

Wes was also named a Scholar Athlete. This is his 12th year
coaching at BHS. He is a UW graduate and enjoys geography,
history and beating his brother Cam at Jeopardy.

Rick Gervais - Special Teams Coordinator

Special Teams Coordinator
Wolverines and will be coaching the defensive secondary and special teams. He graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering while lettering four year playing cornerback and safety.

After graduating, Rick went on to play 3 seasons as strong safety, and nickel back with the San Francisco 49'ers. He enjoys fly fishing, hunting and family time.

Paul Moyer -

Paul, who attended Arizona State University, is a former Seattle Seahawk who played safety from 1983-1989. He led the team in interceptions with six in 1988.

Paul went on to coach the Seahawk's secondary from 1990-1004. He lives with his lovely wife Heather. Paul's son Nick, a senior on the Wolverines, and his daughter, Taylor, who attends Boise State.

Lane Johnson -

Lane is a 2000 Bellevue graduate and a 1999 All-State running back. Lane went on to play football at Central Washington University.

Lane will be coaching the running backs. He has been in the screen-printing industry for 2 years.

Greg Cowan - Strength & Conditioning Coach

Strength & Conditioning Coach
This is Greg's 4th with the BHS Wolverines as a coach. Greg is a 1996 BHS graduate. Greg is the team strength and conditioning coach and assists the wide receivers.

His biggest joy is seeing the growth of the kids in the weight room and watching their hard work translate to the field.

Richard Brown Jr. -

Rich is back for his 4th year and is the assistant D-line coach. He was All-KingCo and All-Eastside Player 1997 and 1998. He graduated from Mercer Island in 1998, and then played at Morehouse College in Atlanta as a fullback, and graduated in 2005.

He is best known for beating Coach Rick Brown in Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

Thad Mallory Jr. -

Thad graduated from Eastside Catholic High School in 1998 and is in his 8'h year of coaching at BHS. Thad took
last season off because of the birth of his son Sam.

This season he will be coaching the Wolverine linebackers. A
University of Washington grad, he is currently working for GVA Kidder Mathews in Tukwila.

He enjoys "weight lifting, attending Husky and Seahawk games, and spending time with his lovely "wife, Lisa.

Neil Buckmaster - Freshman Head Coach

Freshman Head Coach
Neil returns for his 29th season at BHSand will coach the BHS freshman football team. He graduated from Chelan High School and Central Washington University.

He enjoys running, golf and family vacations. Coach Neil and his wife Judy have two children, Katherine 16 and
Christopher 14, along with two grown children Holly and Eric, and a grandchild.

Rick Brown -

Rick is in his 27th year of coaching and his 10th year of coaching at BHS.

Rick is a graduate of the University of Iowa, the University of Washington and Columbia Pacific University.

Rick is the Information Director for the Varsity team. Rick enjoys spending time with his wife,Carmen, and his four children.

Dan Razore -

This is Danny's 1st year coaching at BHS. He was a Bellevue graduate in 2008 and was the 2007 team captain.

He attended the University of San Diego on a football scholarship, but suffered a career ending injury last March.

He will be the cornerbacks coach, assistant workout coach and the JV defensive coordinator. He enjoys watching film with Paul and Wes.

Jeff Razore -

Jeff is in his 9th year of coaching after graduating from BHS in 2000. He will be working with the receivers and defensive backs.

He was the captain on the 1999 team and awarded the Eastside Journal's Most Inspirational Senior Award for 2000.

Jeff is a graduate of the University of Washington. He is also the co-founder and Vice-President of NDR Media. He enjoys golf, sporting events, and cars.

Todd Craig -

This will be Todd's 2nd year at Bellevue High School coaching running backs and defensive backs. Prior to this season he spent 17 years coaching other teams in Washington and Oregon, 13 of which were in the Junior Wolverine system.

Todd works in Real Estate with Coldwell Banker here in Bellevue. He and his wife Nikki live in Bellevue with their spoiled hunting dog 'Mojito', and they enjoy traveling together and spending time with friends.

Dr. Tom Castle - Team Physician

Team Physician

Dr. Castle has been the team doctor since 2000. A partner in Proliance Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (formerly Bellevue Orthopedics), he has practiced at Overlake Hospital for 20 years.

After completing his chief residency in Orthopedic Surgery he spent a year in a sports medicine fellowship in Cincinnati before moving to Bellevue.

Bethany Desimone - Trainer

Trainer
Bethany is in her 2nd year at Bellevue High School. She is a native of Bellevue and graduated from Everett High School.

While at Everett, she won a junior national championship in rowing. She went to college at Washington State University and graduated in 2007. During her internship years at WSU she worked primarily with football, women's soccer, and women's swimming. She enjoys watching and playing all sports.

 

Mark Landis - Assistant Coach

Assistant Coach
BHS class of 1988, played for coach Buckmaster & Jones winning 3King Co Championship during his time with them. This is Marks first year coaching at BHS.

His son Cole plays on the Freshman team Mark also has a son in the Junior Wolverine Program
